How it works
Booking a park home should be duller than this
One price, one calendar, one party to deal with. Here is exactly what happens between finding a home and letting yourself in.
01
Find the home, not just the park
Every home is listed individually with its own photographs, its own plot and its own price. You are choosing a specific bungalow on a specific pitch, not a category off a grid.
02
See the whole price first
The calendar shows the real nightly rate for every date, and the panel itemises the clean, any dog fee and the length-of-stay discount before you go any further. Nothing is added later.
03
Arrive with a code
Two days before you travel the park sends directions and a door code. There is no reception queue and no key to collect, whatever time you get in.
04
Deal with the park, not an agency
The people who take the booking are the people who maintain the home. If the boiler plays up, the person who answers can fix it.
Questions worth answering properly
Is a park home the same as a static caravan?+
No. Every home listed here is built to BS3632 — the British Standard for residential park homes — with full insulation, gas central heating and mains services. They hold twelve-month consent and are warm in February. A static caravan is built to a holiday-use standard and generally is not.
What is included in the price?+
The nightly rate, the changeover clean, linen and towels, parking for two cars, and wifi. Dogs are charged per stay where a home accepts them, and that appears in the breakdown before you book. There are no resort fees or booking fees.
Can we bring a dog?+
At most homes, yes — up to two, with a fee per stay shown on the listing. A few homes are adults-only and dog-free; the listing says so plainly and the search filter will exclude them if you tell it you are bringing one.
How does cancellation work?+
Free up to 28 days before arrival, with the deposit refunded in full. After that the 25% deposit is non-refundable but the balance is not taken. Inside 7 days the full amount stands.
Are the parks open all year?+
All the trading parks hold twelve-month holiday consent, so yes. Some on-site facilities are seasonal — the pizza oven at Marwell runs May to September, for example — and those are marked on each park page.
Who actually owns the homes?+
Some belong to the park and are let as a hire fleet; others belong to private owners who release them for the weeks they are not using them. Owner-let homes say so on the listing, and they are often the better furnished.
Can I view a home before booking a longer stay?+
Yes. Most parks will show you round if you are considering a fortnight or a repeat booking. Contact the park through its park page.
