Cookie policy
Cookies and similar storage let a website remember things between pages. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we may only set the strictly necessary ones without asking. Everything else waits for your consent, and rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting.

What we set before you choose
Only storage the site cannot work without: the booking you are part-way through, your sign-in if you are an owner or operator, and the record of the cookie choice itself. No advertising or analytics storage is written until you accept it.
The four categories
Strictly necessary — session and security, and the state of a booking in progress. Cannot be switched off.
Preferences — remembers recently viewed homes, whether the map was open, and your filter defaults. Off until you allow it.
Analytics — counts visits and measures which searches and filters people use, in aggregate. Off until you allow it.
Marketing — would support advertising and measure whether it worked. We run no advertising at present, so this currently does nothing even when switched on. It is listed because that may change, and because a policy that hides a category is not a policy.
Changing your mind
Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer at any time. Your choice is recorded with the date and the version of this policy it was made against, and we ask again if the policy materially changes.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop bookings working.
Third-party storage
Map tiles are served by tile.openstreetmap.org. Loading a map means your browser requests images from that host, and it sees your IP address as a result. Fonts are self-hosted on this domain precisely so that no font CDN sees your visit.
If a booking reaches us through a travel site, that site sets its own cookies on its own pages under its own policy. We have no control over those.
How long they last
Session storage clears when you close the tab. The cookie choice itself lasts twelve months, after which we ask again. Preference storage lasts six months from your last visit.
