Big, practical, not fancy
Ten of us for a family reunion. Furniture is hard-wearing rather than beautiful, which for ten people including four under eight is the right call.
Beechwood Park, Near Ashbourne, Derbyshire·Beech Rise, lake aspect
Four bedrooms overlooking the fishing lake — the biggest home in the Midlands.
Ten sleepers across four bedrooms with three bathrooms, a utility room and a dining table that genuinely takes everyone.
The deck looks straight over the fishing lake, and there is a peg fifty yards along the bank if somebody in the party fishes.
